Amrit Gurung is a popular music artist, lyricist, composer, traveler, photographer, and founder, manager of the first Nepali band “Nepathya”. He was born on July 1, 1968, in Pokhara. As of 2022, He is 53 years old and traveled to different countries of the world and more than 70 districts of Nepal. he is about 5 feet and 4 inches tall in height.
Amrit Gurung loves the culture, tradition, and language of His own country and he feels that the children who are born to Nepali parents living abroad should teach their language and culture of their own country. So whenever the children born and living abroad visit Nepal they will feel connected to their country.
A band was started by three students from Pokhara living in Kathmandu for studying in the early 1990s. It’s been 30 years of the band and it is popular across the world. Among three members of the band, Deepak Rana ( now a chopper pilot), Bhim poon( now settled in Hongkong), and Amrit Gurung ( who never left Nepathya since its inception).
